NBS Kodhe’yo started as a political pledge 2001 by Hon. Nathan Simonson Nabeta the Member of Parliament for Jinja East. He promised the voters that he would start up a radio station to help in spreading the word on development, political, social, health and economical issues in the constituency and Busoga at large. On the 28th June 2002, NBS Kodhe’yo 89.4 FM was officially launched by HE. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the president of the Republic of Uganda.
